1. I graduated high school in 1997. Go Teddies!!
2. I'm quite the procrastinator
3. I can't stand chitterlings
4. I became a mom at the tender age of 19.
5. I still want to go to college (for what, I don't know)
6. I wanted to be a pediatrician when I was little

8. I love to dance. Ask my friends... I don't care if I'm the only one on the dance floor! =D
9. I can't stand cleaning. Ugh! I need a maid.
10. I hate doing laundry, even more than cleaning. Ha!
11. But, I love a clean house and clean clothes. 

My Q & A...

1. If you had to choose a world without fashion or a world without music, which would you choose ?  

I would choose the world without fashion. Music gives life. It brings people together in ways that one could only imagine. It heals. It brings happiness and so many other emotions.

2. Have you accomplished any of your life goals? 

To be honest, I never really had any concrete goals. Before having children, I was kind of just floating about in this world. My goal now is to raise two wonderful, happy, productive children. Working on this one every day.

3. What's the meaning of LOVE to you?

Love is kind. It's patience. It's caring. It's honest. Love is when you want everything for someone, and will sacrifice a little piece of you to give it to them.

4. If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? 

Jamaica. It's cold here y'all! 

5. Who's the biggest inspiration in your life right now?

My children. They inspire me to do everything.

6. What's your favorite thing about blogging? 

The outlet that it provides. The support that it lends. The people that I have "met".

7. What's your favorite thing out of anything you own? 

It's the ring that my great-grandmother "gave" me. I say "gave", because she told me it was mine, but that I couldn't wear it because she didn't want me to go to school with jewelry on. I was around 11 years old, and I put it on anyway. What happened you ask?? It got stuck on my finger and wouldn't come off!! Yea. I got in trouble for that one. LOL! When I met my hubby, he cut the ring off of my finger. But that ring is my piece of her. I love it with all of my heart.

8. Do you believe in fate?

I sure do. I believe that everything is in place to happen in my life. I'm just living it out.

10. Jeans or dresses ? 

Jeans. Even though it's hard to find a pair that fits great, but once you do, it feels so good.

I don't have a favorite food. I do like lots of it though. LOL!

Speechless...

Happy Friday Eve!!

I am wore out from this work week y'all. It's crazy trying to cram five days of work into four. I don't have much to say other than I think I look extra curvy in this top right here!! LOL!! The band across the bottom is nice and curve hugging. Not that I'm trying to be slim or anything, but it creates a nice silhouette.  My favorite part of the top is the bat wings. This is another top that was given to me by my gurl Angelique, who is still keeping her weightloss going and looking great all the way. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... her loss is my gain! I was only able to take a few pics outside, because that wind was all over me like white on rice, on a paper plate, in a snow storm(any "Major Pain" movie fans?... **clears throat**yea, me neither)! I don't have a "Tell it all Tuesday" to post today. I think I will take it from every week, down to once a month. Can't give it all away too soon, right? lol! Nah, it's mainly because I don't have that much to say about myself. It's true!! I need more time.

This post will just be what I wore to work. Since my last outfit was bland with jeans and no color, I thought that I would liven things up a taste. I do love how well grey goes with purple. I got the scarf from my sister-in-law. We were in the store, and I was going to buy it myself. She said, "Is that the one you want?". I said yes, and she said, "I'll buy it for you." Wasn't that sweet!? I told her that I was going to have to go shopping with her more often! HA! It's my favorite part of this outfit. Again, it's cold and windy, so my hair is not cooperating. Bless my daughters heart for braving the winter weather for me. =D Until next time...

Fresh Starts...

First let me start by saying, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope that everyone accomplished what they set out to do last year, and that 2012 will be amazing as well. I don't make resolutions, but I do like the idea of new beginnings. Last night hubby and I rang in the new year at home together. It was such a perfect night. Me, him and my glass of Moscato. To tell the truth, I actually dozed off around 11:35pm for a few minutes, but I woke up with plenty of time for the countdown. =D

On to my first OOTD post of the year!

Last night we got our second snow of the winter, which is unusual that it took so long. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying. Today it's cold and windy, so please excuse my curls being all over the place. This outfit is what I like to call, Minnesota Chic. We have to use layers and wear boots here, or we'll all freeze! lol! I still felt cute though.

Tell it all Tuesday... Pt 2

Hi!! Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! I'm back with another edition of "Tell it all Tuesdays". Thank you all for reading my last one, and for all of the sweet comments. It really means a lot to me. This one won't be as long as the first one because I realized that I need to save some things for future posts. I guess I can be a blabber mouth sometimes. It will still be as random though. lol

A few of my favorite songs in the whole wide world are, Overjoyed by Steve Wonder, As We Lay by Shirley Murdock, Grandmas Hands by Bill Withers and Moody's Mood for Love by James Moody. I have more, but these are a few that represent special people and specific periods in my life. The songs make me think of my childhood, and I get all warm and fuzzy when I hear them.


I'm 1/4 of the self proclaimed "Wine-Oh Clique". Three other ladies and myself get together once a month to hang out, drink different kinds of wine, and go to different restaurants. We have so much fun!

I was Snow Daze Queen in high school. I really liked my powder blue dress and dyed shoes from Payless.  =D

This is my most favorite picture in the whole wide world. Hubby and my daughter. It was such a sweet moment. It warms my heart to know that it was captured.

My family has a reunion every year hosted in Chicago. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!

Can you spot me??

I don't have a favorite food or color. But I don't like most veggies (I recently took a liking to zucchini). And I'm drawn to neutrals. I don't really like to cook, but I can. I know it's therapeutic for some people,
but it's mostly just work for me. I love it when Hubby decides to take the wheel and get down in the kitchen! I really like his chicken and fries.                                      

I can be quite confrontational if I need to be. I don't shy away from it.

I'm a good listener. I love being the shoulder to cry on for my friends and family (as long as it's not about the same thing over and over again).

I'm kind of a procrastinator. I do some of my best work under pressure... Really, I do!

I'm a Virgo. But I'm not a neat freak like they say most Virgos are. Some of the other traits are so me though. That always confused me.

One of these days, I want to go natural with my hair. I have such hair envy of my daughter. Little known fact about me... I secretly wanted a Jheri Curl as a child. HA!

I'm a homebody, but I get restless sometimes. Especially in the winter time. Cabin fever sets in during the cold winter months and drives me stir crazy.

My car covered in snow last winter. Crazy!

Merry Christmas & OOTD

Yes, I'm blogging on Christmas. I hope that you all are having a wonderful time with family and friends while being together and celebrating the birth of Christ. My mother and brother are in town. Although we are missing my sister, we are having a great time.

On to the OOTD...

I have been coveting the below boots for about a year now. I did a post a few months ago about a few pairs of boots that I wanted (see here). This morning, I opened a box that had my Minnetonka Moccasins waiting for me. Hubby was so on point with this gift! I was so excited to have them that I couldn't contain myself. I recently found out that the ever so fashionable Lexy over at BeautyFash has a grey pair. I decided to rock mine on the very first day that I got them because I was so excited. =D

As if it couldn't get any better, another gift featured in these pics, is my brand new Coach bag. Oh how I LOVE it! That man wow'd me this morning. The last and final gift featured in the pics is my pink tam. This hat is so cute to me, and I can't wait to roller set my hair and place this bad boy on top of my curls. It's gonna be too cute!
