Weekend Girl...

Hey peeps!! I hope your weekend has been going great!

I've been waiting for the perfect day to break out my white pants. I bought them a few months ago at the Old Navy Outlet on clearance, of course. I think they ran me under $10. I know some people live in states where you can rock white pants/jeans all year round. In Minnesota, there has to be the perfect combination of dry and warm for me to pull these babies out, and today is that day. It's a sunny, yet seasonal 55 degrees outside. There are some of you who might think that 55 degrees is cold but here, it's just warm enough go without a jacket, and dry enough so that my pants don't get stained. I do love the colors in this outfit.

Have your broken out your white pants yet??

Until next time...

Maxin & Relaxin...

You know how it is when all you want to do is get home, take off your "work clothes", and slip into something a little more comfortable?? That is what this dress is all about. It's a jersey knit, so the fabric is beyond comfortable. Easy breezy.  This dress is another one of my Target finds. It was on the 70% off rack and was labeled as an "online return". The price you ask?? $5.58!!!!! How could I not get it?! The shoes are also a Target deal at my usual find price of $7.48. I just love a good deal.

**Note: The links below for these items list them at their regular price on Target.com**

Not only is the dress comfortable, I love the color. The only drawback is the cleavage that it shows. This could, and will be rectified with a cami in the future, but I was fine with what was going on at the time. I was maxin & relaxin.  How do you get comfy after work?

Until next time...

Corporate comfy...

There's a time and a place for everything. It can sometimes be hard to show your personality through your clothes in a corporate environment. I personally like to try as much as possible to amp up my outfits. Usually with shoes. Lately with color. On another note, I do love these purple flats. They are my latest clearance find for $7.48 at Target. SCORE!! =D

This shoot is another one with the tripod. Bare with me y'all. I'm getting there. I just wanted to thank you guys for the continued support. The comments, re-tweets(Twitter fam) and emails are truly appreciated.

Until next time...

Inspired...

Happy Monday!! Hope everyones weekend went well!

Shea from Curves and Confidence started a "re-create her look" series on her blog. I love Shea's blog because she's so versatile with her clothing. If you haven't visited already, head on over to check her out!! She's one of the first bloggers that I saw rock gymshoes, besides myself. When I saw this look, being that I had the same style of Jordans in my closet, I knew that I had to participate in the series:

How did I do???

First time for everything...

Happy Thursday!!! It is indeed a happy Thursday for me. I'm off work today and Friday. Four day weekends ROCK!! Because I'm off, I decided to get a few outfits together for the old blog here. As I was decided what to put together, I noticed that the hubby's camera has a screw input on the bottom. I then remembered that hubby has a tripod from his college years. DING! I rambled through the closet and there it was... the tripod. It was a perfect fit, and that's all she wrote. I was so anxious to get outside and snap a few shots.

Enter the weirdness of taking your own pics. My excitement quickly fizzled as people started to walk/drive by and stare. I didn't have any direction (which usually comes from my daughter), so I was left to my own devices. Taking a pic, then running to the camera to see if everything worked out is crazy to say the least. I can say that it got better as a figured out where to stand, how to move, and how to make sure I stayed within the frame. It will take some getting used to, but I think it's here to stay for me.

Do you have any tips that I can use for tripod picture taking?? Please share!

On to the OOTD... There are two things that I want to talk about in this outfit. The necklace, and the shoes!

I won the necklace in a giveaway on Ashley's blog, A Sassy Woman. I was so excited because I think it's a really cute. It's called "Jessica", from Thierry Accessories. The colors are what caught my eye. Very vibrant and fun!!

The shoes, I found on Urbanog.com. They are super cute, and I love them to death! I'm sure you will be seeing plenty of these babies in future posts. The price was reasonable, and they are well made. I also didn't expect them to be as comfortable as they are. Love them!!

Until next time...

I was literally falling over because I was laughing at myself so hard.

Walking the runway!! lol!

Weekend Girl...

Hey peeps!! This weekend has been one of the nicest weekends weather wise that we've had in a while her in Minnesota. 61 degrees early in March is a heat-wave here!! LOL! The grass leaves something to be desired, but I'm grateful all the same. =D

I felt so comfy and cute in my Old Navy sweater, and skinnies. I purchased the sweater on clearance for $7.47!! It's just the right thickness for this type of weather. I didn't need a jacket at all. Just as I'm doing this post, I realized that next Saturday is St. Patrick's Day! I guess the green was totally appropriate, although unintentional.

Since I've been running around and enjoying the lovely days and evenings, I didn't have the chance to roll my hair. The tam that I'm wearing is perfect for that. I have a pink one that I rock as well. They will become a staple for when those "bad hair days" come up.

Until next time...

It's just lunch...

Hey peeps!  Hope everyones weekend is going great! This OOTD is the debut of my new red skinnies, and the last hoorah for my leopard shoes (at least for a little while). I got the top from Target. I normally don't wear things with big pictures on them, but I loved the pic of Ms. Marilyn on the front. After I put the outfit on, I instantly wished my hair was more interesting. I will definitely be sporting a big curly "do" the next time I wear this top. I like how it all came together though.

Saturday, I went to lunch with two of my oldest & dearest friends. Love those ladies! I wanted to break out my red skinnies, but since we were only going to The Olive Garden, I thought they would be a bit much. So, I took to my Twitter buddies to help me out. I received quite a few responses saying that the outfit wouldn't be too much for Saturday lunch. What do you think??

Until next time...

(P.S., I didn't wear the outfit because it started snowing right after I got dressed. I wasn't about to wear my leopard babies out in that mess)
