While reading one of my favorite blogs, Rocquelle of Consider Me Lovely did a post rocking her colored jeans and asked her readers, "Are you into colored denim?" I've seen them all around, and I thought they looked nice one everyone else. I must admit that I was a little intimidated by colored denim due to my more robust bottom half. I basically thought I would have to sit this trend out. =(
This is one of the reasons why I love blogging! I'm able to grab style inspiration from others. Real women, with real style. Because of Rocquelle's question, I wanted to try the colored denim for myself. And here you have it... Both things that I have never tried going on in this post, AND I like it!!
Until next time...

Shantika, the colors you chose were perfect!
ReplyDeleteRe: the color blocking trend, it's funny! As a kid that was how I would dress--solid colors, minimal prints. It's funny how trends are cyclical they keep returning.

Quick question, I hope you can answer me. Are the Old Navy cobalt blue pants stretch from the top? I'm big on my stomach area and I need pants that are stretchy from the top area to avoid a muffin effect :P I read they were like jeggings, but I just want to make sure before I ordered them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you alter them from the ankle area? I heard they came big from there...
I really hope you can help. I hateeee ordering online but I'm willing to take the risk for this color jeans :-)

Hi Ale... To be perfectly honest, these jeans/jeggings (the Rock Star line) do not have a lot of stretch in them. You may have to go up a size with this particular brand. For example, if a person is usually a size 16, but can sometimes wear an 18, I would suggest going with the 18.
DeleteAs far as the ankle part, I did no altering. They fit me fine there.
Thank you so much for the info. It is really helpful!
DeleteYou colour block beautifully, my dearest friend

I love this color palette.. Very cute... You make me want to go out and get some colored skinny jeans, although skinny jeans never fit me because of my calves (thank god for jeggings!)...but anyway, back to you, very cute outfit indeed. Love this combination together...!!
