Just Peachy...

Hey peeps!! I hope you all took time to remember and say a prayer those who gave their lives, as well as those who continuously put their lives on the line for our freedoms and liberties. And in the midst of being thankful, I'm sure that everyone hit up a BBQ somewhere & did some serious damage! lol

I had a great weekend. I took Friday off work, so it was a nice 4 day weekend for me. Why is it that no matter how long you take away from work, it always feels like it was never enough?

Anyhoo, on to the OOTD…

Today, I wore this easy breezy peach top. I snagged it on clearance at Herbergers (Boston, Carson Prairie Scott) for around $4 last year! I've only worn it a few times, and every time I put it on I ask myself why don't I wear it more often. I love the color and the fabric is so soft! I'm wearing a scarf because this cool Minnesota air just doesn't understand that it's supposed to be Spring! I want warmer weather, and I want it NOW!!

I picked up the jeans from Old Navy. They are my new favorites! These bad boys were on clearance for under $10, and now I'm kicking myself for not buying more than one pair. I try not to wear them as much so my "chub rub" doesn't ruin them. Ha! No really. I would hate to have to throw them away. I would probably shed a tear or two. I'm serious.

**Do you have a favorite pair of jeans? Do you want to keep me from crying? If you answered "Yes" to at least one of these questions, please leave the brand/style in the comments. I'm always taking recommendations.** Thank ya kindly!! ;)

Until next time…

Hanging In There...

Hey peeps!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! I know I did. Sharing time with family and friends is always a wonderful thing! Add in presents, and you've got yourself a party!! lol!

Being that it's been almost a month since the last time I've blogged, I'm ashamed to call myself a blogger. With no camera, no no natural light, and the freezing temps, I been strugglin y'all!

I've still been going strong with my workouts (with the exception of the past week or so). Now that the holidays are over, I'm back on my grind though. I'm still smitten with my hair. The growth over the past few months has been nothing short of awesome. And lastly, I have recently taken a liking to scarves... As you'll see below.

I'm including a few basic snapshots of my goings on via Instagram (again). I'm hooked! I truly love it over there =D. Won't you join me?!?!?

Now I'm off to visit all of your blogs. Until next time...

These Boots Are Made For...

Happy Humpday peeps!!

As you can see in the pics, Fall is in full swing here in Minnesota. The leaves have turned, and the air is getting cooler. Today is one of the last of "nicer" days because it was in the high 70's & sunny. The rest of our week looks a bit cooler, in the high 40's. Yup, I said high 40's. That's still relatively nice weather for us here, so I won't be complaining.

On to the OOTD...

I copped these boots over the weekend (on sale) and I love them. I was so excited to see them! Then I got nervous because every time I see knee boots that I love, they never fit over my calves. And the ones that do fit (and are reasonably priced), actually LOOK like they were made for bigger calves… I really don't like that. So, I reluctantly tried them on because they have a stretchy material on the back. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. This time it did!! =D I smiled and damn near ran to the register with them.

Not sure if you guys are sick of seeing my denim blazer, but I'm not sick of wearing it, so here we are again. Ha!

Overall, this was a super comfy outfit, and I felt great in it. Thats all that matters, right?

Until next time...

Style Inspired...

It's been around a week since my last post. That's not long at all, but for some reason it feels like forever. My little family went on a road trip to Chicago for my annual Family Reunion. It's ALWAYS a great time getting together with family. I will post a few pics in a future post and introduce you guys to a some of my near and dear family members =D

For now on to the clothes. It's crazy where inspiration comes from sometimes. My outfit was inspired by my baby girl. She got dressed, and I loved the colors that she had on. My mind immediately went through my closet.

She really didn't want me to take the pic, but hey… what mama says GOES! =D
I think I captured the colors pretty well. The tank was just flowy (yea, I said it!) enough for the weather, and one can never go wrong with white pants. On to the shoes. These are my Fergalicious babies! Sometimes wedge shoes with a cork or yarn-like heel throw me off. I didn't care with these shoes though!! I had to have them! When I first saw them, they were $59.99. I really wasn't in the mood to spend that much on shoes at the time. Y'all know I love a good sale and/or clearance!! I left them at the store :( Well wouldn't you know that my sis-inlaw was shopping at another store and saw them on clearance!?! She sent me a text, and I was up there immediately! Copped for $19!! BOOM! They are super comfy, and I love the color.

Until next time…

UPDATE: I've linked up for another edition of Trendy Tuesday with Corie over at Its My Taste! Head on over to check it out!! You should link up too! =D
